All right everyone, I'm curious...what do you consider the best piece of equipment you carry in the field that really isn't intended for hunting?
For me it's a retractable dog leash! I bought an actual retractable bow cord for my climber and it was a pile of crap. The thing wouldn't retract properly and he stupid winding mechanism sounded like a made in china tape measure imploding every time the thing would attempt to retract.
So I went Ebay and bought a Top Dog 27' retractable dog leash (black) and zip tied it to my stand. It works very well and is smoooth and quiet. Plus it's long enough that I can get in the nose bleed section if need be.
What about you?
