line for a bait casting reel

I have a bait casting reel like new only been used a few times it still has mono on it....I'm looking to strip most of it off (will leave some on for backing) I wanna switch to a new line..I'm leaning towards power pro.. what size line should I run on it? I will be tossing crankbaits with it and fishing from shore (no boat)..what would be a good size line to run on this reel? reel is an abu garcia 5500 c3.....how would 10 lbs test 2 Eq. Diameter lb. be? or should i go to 15 lb 4 Eq. Diameter lb.
